Delighted to be part of the panel on current ISA’s involvement with the United Nations at #ISAforum25 alongside Allison Loconto and Lucie Vidovićová, chaired by Jan Fritz.

There’s always something fascinating to learn from fellow ISA colleagues!

After the Asilomar conference, I headed to the 2050 Genomics event at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. Wonderful to attend two gatherings exploring the future of genomics back to back, each from a different angle—lots to reflect on!

Glad to be able to attend two really interesting discussions on synthetic cells at the Asilomar conference—good food for thought for my team’s empirical and global investigation of their social and ethical implications over the next couple of years.

Fantastic public-facing pre-summit event for the Spirit of Asilomar conference. Had a really insightful conversation with the dancers of the Choreography of CRISPR afterwards. Great questions from the audience too.

Glad to see that the UNESCO consultation on global collaboration in science literacy, which I participated in last September, was discussed at the #AAASmtg. Hope to see greater empowerment for science communicators in the Global South.
