After the Asilomar conference, I headed to the 2050 Genomics event at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. Wonderful to attend two gatherings exploring the future of genomics back to back, each from a different angle—lots to reflect on!

Glad to be able to attend two really interesting discussions on synthetic cells at the Asilomar conference—good food for thought for my team’s empirical and global investigation of their social and ethical implications over the next couple of years.
