The pattern and color of their feathers, eyes, and beak make them blend in incredibly well with the colors of the worn stone wall they’re nested on. Behind them is another gray stone wall. They blend in so well, that I didn’t realize I had captured the chicks in the photo until I looked at it later on a larger screen- and it took even longer for me to realize there were two chicks and not just one.
