Today was the best! Joy was sick so she stayed home from work. Bird got to sit on her all day! Everything is more fun when you sit on Joy. He watched TV and played with toys and took a nap and ate snacks. Bird says he hopes Joy is sick more often! Being sick is the best! #bird #parrot #cockatoo

Bird is mad. Joy lost Dad. She went outside with him and she came back alone. She claims he flew home but Bird knows Dad can’t fly. It’s just an excuse to pretend that she didn’t lose him. Today was a good day! Joy was eating peanut butter crackers and looked away for a moment and Bird stole one. He says peanut butter crackers are the best! You can hold them in your foot and lick the peanut butter and then crunch up the cracker in Joy’s hair. Stealing is super fun! #bird #parrot

Today was the best! Joy found Dad and brought him home. Bird says Dad is kind of dumb because he keeps getting lost. Bird kept an eye on him so he wouldn’t get lost again. Everyone talked but Bird won that because he was the loudest. And he played lots of games with Dad. Super fun! #parrot #bird

Bird says today was super fun! Joy threw a toy on top of the cage and Bird pounced on it and wrestled with it before throwing it off the edge. Then he backs up so Joy can throw it again. It would be even better if Joy hadn’t chained it to the cage and had to go chase it but it’s still really fun!

Bird broke out of his cage this weekend. Luckily he has rules that he follows because they are his rules and not the dumb ones that Joy is always yelling about. If he breaks out, he goes on his cage and waits for praise and laughs. Forget to lock the cage and your stuff pays the price! Bird rules.

Bird says buttons are super fun! First you get to steal them off of Joy’s shirt. Joy says don’t but who listens to her? Anyway Bird says he put it back on her shirt when he was done playing with it so what is Joy complaining about? #birds #parrots #cockatoo

Bird says his favorite cookie is peanut butter cookies but he has to eat his first. He says Joy is allowed to hold it for him but not eat any of it because it’s his. Bird says sharing is dumb. When you’re full you can crumble it up and throw it on Joy for fun. Cookies are the best! #parrot #bird

Last night Bird went to birdy jail for a whole hour. Joy put him in his cage so she could fix dinner. When she put him in he put one foot on the perch and held on to her finger with his other foot “How cute!” Joy thought. “RAWR” Bird said, springing his trap on Joy’s hand. Birdy jail for an hour.

Last night Joy sang the night night song but Bird was having too much fun playing with his toys so he kept taking his foot and holding Joy’s mouth shut so she couldn’t sing a song Bird didn’t want to hear. Bird said if she can’t sing it, he doesn’t have to do it. Bird wins! #birds #parrot #pets

Today Bird got a bath. Baths are fun! First he waits for Joy to be busy. Then he gets in his water dish and kicks and splashes. Then Joy fills up his bath bottle with warm water and sprays him on top while he splashes. Baths are super fun except for the dumb Joy rule, no neck snuggles until dry.

Happy New Year everyone from Joy and Bird! Bird has been showing the neighbors that he’s way louder than their puny fireworks. Joy has been getting as much sleep as she can between the epic battle of boom vs awk. #bird

Today was a good day.Joy only did a few chores today. Then she gave Bird a new toy before falling asleep in front of the tv. He has learned that if he plays quietly, he can stay out of his cage. He was very stealthy and Joy woke up later covered in bits of rubber toy and cardboard. A good day. #bird

Merry Christmas everyone! Santa left a foraging box filled with almonds and a new rubber toy to chew up. For breakfast Bird got a cap full of grits. Finished up with a nap in his favorite spot. Christmas is the best! #parrot #bird #pets
