I hate to sound like a meatball, but what's the point of having cap space if not to move starting positions from "crap" to "not crap". And center has been crap in Chicago for ages. Also, Dalman is fine at pass blocking and elite at OZ blocking -- which is about as good as what hits FA anyway.

This feels 100% like both a smart move and a slight overpay. It's great money for a good player, but Chicago hasn't had at least a good center since Olin Kreutz. Why have the cap space/money if you won't spend it on areas of need?

That makes sense. Is your treatment simultaneous or staggered? Because if it’s simultaneous, I’ve found the DRDID package to be really good and easy to use. Has excellent performance too.

Oh, yeah. Ummm, do you like DiD's? Because there are a million ways to do them -- all sort of right or wrong depending -- and there are lots of researcher-degrees-of-freedom in how you implement them, and whether you do it in R or Stata (or god forbid python). Good luck!

This is what WeightIt and MatchIt are best for, tbh.
