Oh really. Who could have guessed this?

(Seems like everyone paying attention these last, I don’t know, couple of decades, except, it seems, Senate Democrats, the only people who actually NEED to understand this.)

The kids have started their prep for this year’s Thanksgiving show: Back to the Future.

Can’t wait to see what they pull off.

This shirt is now 30 years old. (I bought it at the 12/1 Hershey show)

This shirt is basically the same age as most Bsky users (+/- a few years).

What’s your oldest piece of clothing (that you bought new)?

I’m always fascinated by our most important media companies’ push alert strategies. How do they determine what to push, and when etc etc

Bodie Wan. Now that is a name I haven’t heard in a long time…a long time.

Just depravity.

While Trump et al throws a Gatsby-style event at the White House, the people’s house, he is asking to prevent 42 million of our friends, family, and neighbors to live under duress, not knowing whether they will be able to eat.

More trauma for those who already suffer the most.

After going to theater to watch Back to the Future, the kids wanted to tech Back to the Future 2.

Always loved this movie when I was a kid bc, you know, the future!

And then boy was the real 2015 such a let down.

But always tickled at how they invented flying cars but still read newspapers.

For schools that are ostensibly filled with the smartest of smarty pants, the Ivy Leagues sure are pretty dumb.

(But also: the law firms and businesses and universities that all pay the Trump vig are often run by Ivy grads. It’s a cabal. They all agree with a segregated society—from race to class)

As I'm watching the ongoing destruction of things, due in large part to billionaire white men, I've been thinking about David Karp, Tumblr founder who seems to have ... disappeared?

This was his last tweet, from 2020:

Not enough people talk about this, let alone make this connection, enough.

@hcrichardson.bsky.social shows why we have to understand history to understand the now.

Sometimes you just gotta look up and marvel about the things that human beings have built together.

Media orgs are confused and upset about last nights Democratic wins.

I don’t recall a “questions remain” after Trump or GOP wins.

Teen Vogue was one of the surprising publications that looked to inform their audience of What Is Happening w/out the typical Beltway Media access/attachment to power.

No more.
