Partisan rancor is a BIG challenge. Our @sustaindemocracy.bsky.social survey found that six-in-ten Americans see the party opposed to their political views as "hurting America" or "knowingly sabotaging the country."

Thrilled that the U.S. Department of State, through the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Brazil, has awarded the Center for Sustainable Democracy at USF a $150,000 grant to implement a journalism and democracy program at USF for 15 Brazilian journalists. An incredible collaboration with State!

Grateful for these next steps at USF as Founding Director of the Center for Sustainable Democracy. CSD’s vision is to draw on the inherent promise of democracy that exists in every person and understand how this promise can flourish in our contemporary environment.
