Not to be the wet blanket, but that's going to require a MASSIVE shift in who runs the Democratic Party. Last time around, they were so bad at this, the guy who actively encouraged a violent insurrection got to run for office again, and not from a jail cell.

I get that as someone raised without religion, and with no distinct cultural identity outside of White American, I can't fully understand the power of cultural trauma... but Jesus fucking Christ. These people are unhinged.

It’s hardly just MAGA speech. The majority of elected Democrats - including our last president - traffic in that evil horseshit.

I was hoping for “Can you dig it?” but otherwise, perfection.

The soul covers album is such a missed opportunity. Fans know, he's a phenomenal soul singer (and writer), it's incredibly frustrating that he didn't do any arrangements. That record could have been phenomenal.

On the off chance you don't know it -

Wrecking Ball and Magic are incredible albums. I'm fascinated by the fact that he made WB - his most explicitly political and angriest album in the middle of the Obama administration, and no one seems to have noticed.

If you're just locked into him as a guy who writes the best fist pumping anthems in rock, you're going to miss some true greatness, but I'd say he's one of the few people in his set who's still making real albums, and not just attempts to capture his past.

Fan since 78 here. Western Stars is a 5 star classic. Dude can still surprise us. Letter To You is a gorgeous & powerful look back. The karaoke album might be weaker than High Hopes, but some of the records in Tracks 2 are fantastic. Powerful arguments for him as one of our greatest songwriters.

Not a sports guy at all. I could not care less about the Lakers, but 20 minutes into the first episode, I was hooked. Heartbroken when they pulled the plug on it. Genuinely great show.

For YEARS, any time Diary showed somewhere, I'd round up friends who'd never seen it and make them go with me. So glad it's finally out on disc - she's unreal in an absolute brain smashing masterpiece.

And shout out to Richard Benjamin for being so dislikable and banal.
