If enough people want that then the market will deliver, but it will be more expensive than the 300km EV of course. BMW are claiming up to 800km with their upcoming iX3, based on WLTP standard.

OutOfSpec got 386 miles/621 km out of a Model 3 at 70mph on a ~21C day.

Think this needs to be caveated that they have access to home/private/work/on-street AC charging at reasonable rates. Without cheap AC charging an EV owner is quite likely to be paying a premium over petrol in the UK and some other countries.

I see Jaecoo models all the time, it’s astounding how quickly they’ve spread.

This exchange saved me from bothering you with the exact same question 🙂

"yet still sees BEV sales down 5% vs Aug-YTD 2024"

YTD BEV sales are up 39% vs Jan-Aug 2024.
If you meant vs Jan-Aug 2023, sure, but as your chart also shows - there was a massive pull-forward for August 2023. Jan-Jul was up 12% over same period in 2023.

It is not going to be pretty for Tesla.

Probably on track for a record year in Norway, but no record days, months or quarters yet.

So while it doesn't counter anything I said, you should still consider that pull-forward spike. Jan-July '25 BEV sales were +10% over Jan-July '23, and will likely return to growth over '23 by the end of the year. Note the Aug '23 and Dec '22 incentive phase-out spikes.

Also, it's accelerated depreciation, it just front-loads it, + it's for companies only & excludes leasing. It has a much more limited impact than the pre-2024 purchase subsidies (of up to €4.5k in '23), which was axed for companies in September '23, juicing August sales.

Again, doesn't in any way contradict what I said.

2025 returned to growth, +39% over 2024 YTD, and +35% Jan-June, pre-tax changes. Every month is up YoY.

PHEV & HEV growth doesn't in any way contradict what I said.

You're really leaning into the insults, it's okay to be wrong!

Also, still blocked, not sure why you've claimed to have unblocked me.
September 26, 2025 at 6:26 PM
Are you just going to trawl through old irrelevant posts and try to insult me because I've pointed out you were wrong?
September 26, 2025 at 6:24 PM
Thank you for the implicit acknowledgement that you were indeed wrong, a shame you blocked me for (correctly) disagreeing when I otherwise mostly agree with your Tesla/Musk coverage. bsky.app/profile/brad...

Slightly unusual way of conceding you were wrong, but I'll take it.

It surely has to implode at some point, they can't keep pumping it forever

600kW is impressive, but I'm mostly excited to see these getting rolled out due to the satellite approach, much better for everyone 😎

China pretty much has a monopoly on Lithium? This is going to come as a shock to Australia and Chile.

That might help, but I think the root cause for a twitter competitor is network effects.
