100% of NYC could have voted for Zohran and the articles still would have been “Why Mamdani’s Win Means Democrats Still Need To Move Further Right And Reject Everything He Stands For”. The dissonance between reality and analysis is cartoonish at this point.

first it's pensions, then it's healthcare, then vacation, finally it's the wages, pretty soon you're just going to one box to work all day for no money and going to another to get the rest of snap to eat, which sounds a lot like how they described the soviet union to me in the 80s but what do i know
Is this good? It doesn't seem good.

"Walgreens will no longer give many of its retail workers paid vacation time for Thanksgiving, Christmas and other major holidays, as the company looks to cut costs under new owners."

"And James Bond, who did NOT die"
They always look like weird plastic freaks, approaching the appearance of the cast of Heartbeeps
The best use of AI is as a direct and clear illustration of how much of our economy is just a speculative irrational gamble with imaginary money valued not by anything material or concrete but rather based solely on the hype and outrageous promises of its key personnel and acolytes
Also, they could always do like Karl Bond/008 for the next movie
I always thought it would've been funny if they made one movie where at the end of it he stumbles wounded into a police box that's bigger on the inside and then goes through Time Lord metamorphosis to become whoever the next guy was
I thought it was at least somewhat canon that James Bond/007 was a designation rather than an actual name or singular person (which is how they got around it being radically different actors every few years). They even make a joke about it in one of the movies I think—something about "the last guy".

No one will ever sum up Bari Weiss's career more succinctly than "what's the point of standards"
“Standards will be eliminated or severely cut back. Bari has told people that she wants to get rid of standards and is shocked that they have so much power. She asks ‘What’s the point of standards?’
Wow, what a great photograph! You really captured all the details of that mole.

This is how they treated that kid who would send people to the corn field when displeased
Pirro: "Mr President, there is in this room a group of people who love you, who believe in you, and who are so proud to be in this Oval Office and to be part of this amazing day because you have changed the course of America."
It’s the same shit as the “in order to beat Republicans we have to become Republicans” move-to-the-right garbage, where they keep jettisoning every value they can think of, and at a certain point what is even the fight anymore if all the values are the same??
What always gets me about these guys is that they’re like “the left is enabling Trump by not supporting Democrats!” but then when Democrats do heinous right-wing shit or needlessly concede to Republicans it’s just excuses for why Actually, That’s Good. They just hate Trump, not fascism.
Thank you for reminding me of Fiery Furnaces! I saw them do a small show at RISD back around the time Rehearsing My Choir came out
Yes! It’s so good. I memorized Brian Cox’s angry response scene for if I ever have to audition for something.

no matter what the circumstances, democrats are always saving their energy for a mythical future situation where they will do something good
Look, I’m gonna be honest: if your version of O Holy Night doesn’t include the best verse, “chains shall he break for the slave is our brother, and in his name all oppression shall cease” I’m gonna assume you’re either a racist or a coward.

Shape up, Christmas singers.
Hard to make this worse without something like “what if we make them pay in fingers??” cackled out like the goddamn Joker before gassing the room with Smilex

One CEO called the idea a “disgusting insult” and “economic genocide against the Gen Z generation.” 👀

It’s important to achieve bipartisanship with Republicans so they can arrest Barack Obama for something they read on the Epoch Times’ Facebook page written by a Chinese cult member in 2019.
Breaking MSNBC:

The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida called a division-wide meeting this afternoon, following the resignations of two prosecutors who were asked to take part in a vast "conspiracy" investigation into former intel and law enforcement officials.

Just constant evidence that none of these assholes has ever not been rich. They don't know what it's like to be working class, to experience our wretched healthcare system.
