Hey all,

Seems like there's a new influx of cool people realizing that this is the place to be. I wanted to introduce myself. I'm a Pulitzer Prize winning comic artist and art director. Son of late comic legend, Neal Adams. And I'm actively looking to collaborate.
Alright you beautiful friends of mine, you upstanding citizens, you edible arrangements, I'm calling it an early night. I'll see you all in the morning.

Two-Face in the sketchbook. Harvey Dent is such a fun character, specifically, to draw. You can get away with not only drawing two faces in one, but even two expressions. His scarred half always carries that wicked scowl while his unscarred half can be a blank canvas for emotions.

Here's the Shazam piece from yesterday's time-lapse video, in case anyone wanted a better look at it.
I'm pretty much off caffeine and virtually all soda. It's not an easy transition but it's helping me. Mind you, we all respond differently.
Continuing to experience great results from coming off diet sodas. My sweet tooth has virtually disappeared. My appetite has dropped off the shelf as well. It's been a revelation. My wife is super happy as well because she loves being right.
I often ruin things by being too clever. But you can try your best.
Modernized retro-isms: "I'm only on Onlyfans for the articles..."

I'm so sick of scam messages. Like, we're all out here just trying to make a living and live our lives. Why do you have to go out there and waste people's time and, in the worst case scenario, steal money from people? Get f'ed.
I think we tend to see other artists' strengths more than their weaknesses, whereas we see our own weaknesses in our own work. What you bring to your art will be admired by others. What I try to internalize in my process is to see my weaknesses and then focus on them in improve.

Never wasted. Just used to hone your creative skill.

Sometimes you start a sketch and it just doesn't feel right. That was the case with this one. It didn't work...so I ditched it. Sometimes it's best to step away from a piece and clear your head. It opens up solutions you may have ignored during your first attempt and takes some pressure off.
Okay, beautiful friends, you pillars of the community, you everlasting gobstoppers, I'm off to bed. I'll see you all in the morning.
Protip for the late crowd: lots of detail in a drawing does not necessarily equal clarity. The ability to simplify your art down to its most basic elements teaches you how to communicate most effectively with your audience. This allows you to hone your fundamentals before getting lost in expression.
I'm bringing old unfinished drawings back from the dead. Maybe Guillermo del Toro will make a movie about me. I'm cool with Oscar Isaac playing me.
Holy fudge, these are gorgeous.
I try to avoid caffeine but I did have a half caffeine coffee today.
Everything about him is iconic.
Very nice! I usually walk my dogs down to our paddock across from our chicken coops which is a nice little walk in the mornings. But I guess it wasn't enough for the day.
Sadly, it was a gloomy, rainy day.
My fallback career is selling bamboo paneling and sound reducing foam panels for the insane number of lifestyle podcasts that exist.
Monday and I are not on the same page and I can't figure out how to fix that.
