I think this is an interesting angle - looking at the origins of our ideas of language and logic.

For me, probably the most thought provoking essay was Benveniste's Categories of Thought and Language. I read this as a student many years ago. I tried writing a response to it recently and realized there are many more questions than I had imagined. Now I'm stuck going through Plato and Aristotle.

Yeah I think the ideas are more interesting than more technical details. At some point it becomes math instead of philosophy.
