For me it’s fine. Even though this PC was only used for web streaming and occasionally Steam games, I loathed any of the interactions I had while dealing with Windows. Plus, I’ve grievances with Apple that I can’t see being resolved so starting down this Linux path is likely where my PC future lies

My first PC was a 133mhz Acer running Win95 and I’ve been a Mac user ever since. It’s nice having Windows wiped from the one exception, all these years later and it is still an awful OS. It’s unfortunate though what’s happened to Apple these past years… my latest MBP will likely be my last.

Our aging Win10 media PC couldn’t upgrade to 11 (even though it appeared to meet every requirement) and so inspired by my SteamDeck, I’ve replaced Windows with Bazzite and while I was at it, I installed Batocera on my old Intel iMac.

We watched Legosi’s Dracula this evening, it was my daughter’s first time and she maybe saw a quarter of the film before falling asleep. We’re going to try a couple more of the Universal classics but I suspect they will also put her to bed early.

I’ve been using Mint Mobile for several years. Low prices, decent coverage, and it’s owned by Ryan Reynolds and as far as celebrities are concerned, he seems alright 🤷♂️
