Once CPS make their decision as to whether or not my case goes to court or he gets cautioned, I will speak publically about safety + dating + how said case either supported or failed to keep women safe

Before the obligatory posts of "Christmas trees are pagan", I'm gonna burst your bubble...... They aren't. Fact is the 1st documentation of an Xmas tree was Germany 1500's, came to the UK in the 1800's. Education is key, research will save ya looking silly 😋

Herb/plant bundles, were they used traditionally or is this a new age concept?Yes they were used, bundles could simply be placed on a fire or you could bunched up + used as a fan (example), wrapped up in a mullein leaf to make a smoke pouch. Many uses for them, not just for cleansing #witchsky

This London Plane Tree is one of the oldest, if not THE oldest London Plane in the UK. It's found within the Buckden Tower grounds (Huntingdonshire), estimated to have established in 1662,it was gifted to the then Bishop of Lincoln (1660-1663). She is massive + this photo doesn't do her justice!

Uplifting the flame, is a technique we utilise in Folkmagic that raises the flame + basically coax's a spirit in. We work with all kinds of spirits within our path. We do this with fire, we lay a foundation for them to enter, raising the energies, this coinsides with dance, song, rthymic beat.

In British Folklore, there are many stories of paying a toll at bridges or greeting the fair folk at a bridge before crossing, to ensure bad luck does not follow you. In some village stories, people reported feeling unusually drained of energy for weeks after walking a bridge without a toll.

Ná h-abair-se bréithir móir

Don't make grand statements
and don't promise what you can't rightly give,
for it is shameful to boast of things
that you cannot deliver.

In folk magic, why do we walk anti-clockwise in a circle? It's to call in the fair folk/folkloric devil/particular spirits. Working with the folkloric devil, we would use our left handle + use circle anticlockwise motions, the right hand we circle clockwise motions to call in other spirits

Here's your yearly reminder that Samhain is the word for November in Irish, pronounced Sow-in. In Wales this is not Samhain but Nos Galan Gaeaf. This is not the celtic new year, this is a time we venerate our ancestors + welcome/prepare for the 1st day of winter #samhain #witchsky

Robins in British folklore: On the the most part, to see a Robin would indicate that a loved one is near. To have one visit/feed in your garden means important news is on its way BUT to have a Robin fly inside your home is seen as a bad omen, death is near #folklore #witchsky

Crab apples in British Folklore have many stories attributed, 1 being that if you threw the pips into a fire whilst repeating the name of your love, if the pips exploded, they were your true love. But crab apples have long been associated with love, marriage, death + the fair folk!

October is finally here. And that means spooky books, texts on the occult, witchcraft, demonology, and more.

I'm pretty sure this early 17th century edition of the Malleus Maleficarum checks off some boxes. And bound in vellum no less.

Expect to see it at the Toronto Antiquarian Book Fair soon.
