If anything, I hope they cut that scene out of the game. No one should be subjected to Yakuza exposition

Don’t get me wrong, a new game for newcomers to play and allowing them to further explore the yakuza/LAD series is great! Will I be getting it? No, unless it goes on sale or reviews say it’s good

I’d be interested in how they’ll address that one plot point

I feel as if they wanted to do something gimmicky for the setting of the blade movie at first, not only to make it their blade instead of just something similar to the old blade films, but also somehow tie him into a weird plot where he’s “always been there,” BS they pulled with Captain Marvel

wonder if soejima really likes Ann the character, or he finds her attractive.

I wouldn’t put it past him, based on certain interviews he’s done where he explains the origins and point of her PT costume.

TL;DR Ann is flawed and I need to vent

The whole bit about her being a bad actor kinda undermines the idea of her being a femme fatale, so unless the arc of her character was to show that she shouldn’t be a femme fatale, it doesn’t work well at all.

Along with the constant “comedic” sexualization of her body, it really make me 3/4

He likes her outside of the design.

The representation of abuse victims is meh at best and horrendous at worst. She has no real relevance to the plot after the first and second palace. Her scenes where she gets to shine are far and few, with them being counted on one hand. 2/3
