Currently in the process of updating a Naturalist Guide to the Lizards of Southeast Asia. Now over 1200 species are recognized in Southeast Asia.

On 20 September 2024, Pauwels et al. published the description of Cyrtodactylus panitvongi, a new gecko species from a limestone cave in Thailand, in Zootaxa. The species is only known from its type locality. Now, barely seven months later, it's already being offered for sale in Europe.

Started work on the 2nd edition. So far already >100 new species since publication in 2022.

Settling in nicely in my new location in Southeastern Brazil. Came across these Black-tufted marmosets in the city during our morning walk. No herps yet..
