i fill mine with various recyclables and take them out in piece meal to the cart periodically. part of that is just to create excuses to coax the dog out to go to the bathroom multiple times a day though

pappy o’daniel being the seemingly out-reformed governor candidate who ends up victorious feels like a fun lark. but pappy brought western swing to the masses, a formal mix of country and jazz, Black and white, “not pure” but massively popular. that’s at the heart of the film’s narrative

i think a lot of film ppl overlook that even beyond the great music literally in the film, the connective thrill of the odyssey/music metaphor works bc it’s filled with music history bits that fill plot
