I have looked at the paper(s) this refers to and the authors clearly have a pretty surface-level understanding of hermeneutics. They talk about "Heideggerian textual analysis", which makes no sense.

The explanation is of course nonsense. "The hermeneutic circle" as described in the text is not Heidegger's concept, or how Heidegger understood it.

I think this will also be the last time I work with Routledge. I've had nothing but negative experiences working with them. I still don't have a copy of the chapter in the previous book we published with them.

@electricarchaeo Discord is at the point in the enshittification cycle where they make everything worse to make more money so it's been a steady decline. Soon, it will be unusable for its purported purpose of gaming.
