Today's ALIEN delivery - a set of 6 pin badges from the USCSS Covenant. These are really cool and the small box they came in is really neat. I'll keep them in the box for display, but for 4 British pounds this was a great impulse buy.

My wife finished Ghost of Yotei recently and it's been one of those games that's so beautiful and rich with character and story it was a pleasure to just sit and watch her play it.

I'm watching Last Samurai Standing on Netflix - which is bloody brilliant, by the way - and it made me realise how much I really want to see Button Man from 2000AD given the live action treatment.

I'm hovering over the buy button for a signed photo of Veronica Cartwright. The seller assures me it's genuine and it looks the part, but there's no certificate or any way to authenticate it and I just can't bring myself to do it.

You've probably heard that ALIEN Earth has been renewed for a second season. I still have to articulate my thoughts about this series - though I did enjoy it - so I'm going to give it a second watch. Still, it's good news that the studio has faith in it.

I think we should take a moment to appreciate how fantastic the design choices were for the original Homeworld game. The visuals, music, mood and overall aesthetics were spot on.
And it's got some epic starships with really distinctive looks. It was an overall brilliant set of design decisions.

This is a superb image. The size of the set is really bought into scale and the detail is quite excellent. The size of the area is a little lost in the shadows and the close-ups in the movie but you still get a sense of the size of the chamber.

Some more shots of the model of the atmosphere processor from ALIENS. it's a superb design and towers over the location like a castle over a town - without it the townsfolk wouldn't survive.
The way it was shot in ALIEN Romulus was awesome, too. It's a daunting, iconic design.

I just had my first online session of White Box Fantasy Medieval Adventure Game using Discord for voice and Roll20 for the VTT.
It was really good! A good balanced party - fighter, cleric, thief - and a straightforward inn/rumours/tomb quest.
It was like 1980s D&D all over again. With internet.
