The populous hasn't changed.

They summerly, blindly and witlessly, elect the same people that they did back in highschool for their prom king and queen to be our new leaders - vacuous bullies hell bent on immediate personal gain dangling the same crumb to all for support.

What we need, is Carrie.

I'm actually convinced that Ben Mulroney was the first AI personality ever generated

I mean, compared to Max Headroom, who of the two was honestly more believable?

Even to this day?

Its like when Spielberg brought Sam Niell to life using CGI in that 1990s movie!

Just as believable as these men.

Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with your nation?

Cant wait until those tarrifs on Canadian potatoes kick in and how you'll manage to blame us for your kids getting sick, to boot!

And the WP helped make this happen. Never thought that Dan Quayle and his hooked on phonics would ever be surpassed

I have to say, as a Toronto resident from the age of 6 and then for 30 years, the dynamic between the two cities' transit operations has completely flipped. I was once proud of the TTC but now I gush about BCTransit in Vic ... even when having to Integrate between BCFerries and TransLink. It's Sad..

Ouch.

Don't think we have anything similar (and need it in certain circumstances!)... but to lose that, as well, is just a double whammy.

From this side of the border, it's truly shocking to see the premiums even with the current ACA rates!

But we also lost our measles status first too. Sigh...

Two ambulances showed up in 15 minutes, and fought about who was going to take me... not because of potential individual compensation, but for ambulatory and triage reasons, ensuring that the resources on the road matched what was necessary for the calls at hand. Also got a taxi voucher to get home.

Well, it is 80 bucks flat fee if it wasn't considered an emergency.. but with a fever of 104, I qualified for a free ride! :)

I live in Canada. Had a bad bout of pneumonia this year. Taken to hospital in ambulance, given antibiotics for 24hr. Had 3 decent meals too. Then 1wk home care, nurse, oxygen, monitoring, the works. Then 1wk on pills.

Total cost: $26 bucks.

With employee insurance, halved.

You should be pissed.

The same was posited between common sense and governance.

Yes. It will put programmers out of jobs -- but only up until those who fronted the notion realise their disastrous mistake way too late.

I'm not worried about machines becoming sentient... but, I am very much worried that humans never will

Hmm... Can this be extended to adults, as well?

It thought it was about red swingline staplers.... dang.

Aside from various businesses using the name, West Shore (two words) seems to be named from an old federal designation stemming from electoral districts and the still active West Shore RCMP. While including Langford, its mostly colwood and areas that seem to use the name. Not official locally tho

Ive always considered the term Westshore to apply only to the FN lands across from Kelowna... not to confuse it with westbank in west Kelowna..

But there is a westshore mall in Lanford... and a plan calling for a westshore BRT stop there

In my last few days at MOTI ill see if I can find out! :D

I'd say, if he wants to play chicken, let him.

We have lots of experience here in BC from driving on the mountain passes.

Follow the rules; Remain calm and confident; And, stay in your lane.

These are transferable skills.

If the rest of the world follows suit -- he'd be the only in the ditch.

Love that show!!!

Not to stoked about the reimagining currently unrolling in reality right now...

... but good money is on trump eventually and casually downing an entire live rat during a press conference from the oval office within the year.

One thing I've learnt in life:

"Could" always means "Will" as much as "Shall" will always mean "Must"
