I need everybody to read this and understand what’s going on. These are spouses of US citizens in the country legally. They have entry clearance and green cards, they’ve passed background checks and have no criminal records. ICE is taking them anyway.

Belatedly reading about this and as always really important to remind people in *every breath* that when the right talks about “woke” and “DEI” they are talking about the cultural and political wins of the civil rights movement. This arrangement existed for 52 years because of historical activism.

This is like every case study I read in business school about the hubris of large companies assuming no one else can compete with them, how they will easily dominate new markets, etc.
The Athletic spoke to several sources who have worked for UNC football, the university, or had direct dealings with the team in the past year.
