It's not totally over, but things are looking very good for Zohran Mamdani in the NYC mayoral race. Roughly 45% of the expected vote in, per AP.

Here's the letter that's going out with the NY "inflation refund" checks hitting mailboxes now.

It makes sure to tell you Gov. Hochul and state lawmakers are the ones who approved them. (They're all up for re-election next year.)

Babe, wake up: The new Ulster County "I voted" sticker (IYKYK) just dropped ... and it's a good one.

Shoutout to sixth-grader Ryker Darmanin for the winning design.

DeWitt Clinton surely dreamed of the day the New York Lottery would hold a giant raffle to commemorate 200 years of the Erie Canal.

Greetings from Albany’s greatest eyesore — the Central Warehouse — where Gov. Hochul is on hand for the start of demolition.

Sure looks like we’re going to see that wrecking ball go into the wall in a second.

Look how slick this dude is. Didn’t miss a beat.

Greetings from the New York State Capitol’s Red Room, where Gov. Kathy Hochul — joined by DV survivors and prosecutors — is making a push for changes to the state’s discovery laws.

- State negotiated directly with striking COs and circulated a potential deal to end strike.
- But the state can only bargain with the union, which says it’s not signing on to the deal at this point.
- So … stalemate continues.

It’s one of the annual highlights of the NY Capitol social calendar: The Farm Bureau lobby day reception, where farmers from across New York hand out the most delicious samples you’ve ever had in your life to lawmakers, staff and hangers-on.

I wish you could smell this photo.

The fact that these light fixtures on the third floor of the NYS Capitol don’t form a straight line drives me absolutely batty.

The main photo on the Cuomo for Mayor website is him in front of the giant foam COVID mountain he had his staff make and paint for a press conference prop.

New: Ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo just lost his case that sought to blow up the NY state ethics board, which is investigating his $5M book deal from the COVID days.

Court of Appeals ruled against him in a split decision.

NEW: Gov. Hochul says the resignation of NYC Mayor Eric Adams’ top aides “raises serious questions about the long-term future of this Mayoral administration.”

She’ll convene a meeting in her NYC office tomorrow to discuss the mayor’s future. She has the power to remove him.

I’d be willing to venture the NY Capitol has more creepy rando heads per square foot than any other building in America.

Happening now: Gov. Hochul is at a middle school in suburban Albany, pushing her plan to ban smartphones during school hours.

It happened.

On PIX 11 tonight, Gov. Hochul sure didn’t sound like someone who is going to remove Mayor Adams if he faces additional criminal charges.
