Evening #GardensHour true 70’s classic houseplant to begin; Monstera deliciosa - aka the Swiss cheese plant, though it hails from Mexico & Central America. It’s a climber of trees in the wild so likes a bit of support, warmth & humid conditions

Evening #GardensHour though I won’t be bobbing with them, I’ve harvested the last of the Apollo Rocket apples. It seems to have been a mast year so this may be a harsh Winter!

Evening #GardensHour I’m a keen composter. Veg food waste goes in, along with a lot of cardboard packaging, home compostable coffee pods & gerbil bedding. It all makes enough for a really good yearly mulch

Good evening #GardensHour in terms of harvesting, it’s been a good cropping year for the potted Apollo Rocket apple tree. Still lots of fruit on the tree despite the best efforts of Storm Amy!

Evening #GardensHour I’ve a slimline water butt for space reasons. By the side is a tub that I fill up as a plunge pool for the watering can. My top tip would be to fill your watering can after you’ve watered - every drop counts!
