It is with profound sadness that we relay news of the passing of our beloved friend and bandmate Clem Burke following a private battle with cancer. (1/7)

Well, this is a new thing. I'm trying to make a comic, but etched. This is a rough try-out page. The paper was too damp I think, but it was today's best bit of experiment... Low Res shot only. Will scan and letter when I get the print right.

Full page in the guardian talking about an exhibition dealing with the influence on style of The Face that manages to not mention Neville Broady once. Not once.

I don't know how that's even possible.

Kermit.
If they looked you square in the eye and said without a hint of humor or irony “fuck you, I will never respect you”, which celebrity would it hurt the most to hear it from?

I'm working on the most complex etching I've ever attempted, and it's murdering my eyes and back. Also, working in an unheated space is making me look ridiculous, in my fingerless gloves, wrapped up in a blanket.

I literally had a career commissioning films and reconstructions and visuals to show the past at heritage sites, each one informed by months of careful research and discussions with the creators. I didn't always get things right, but to replace that process with AI? Unfathomable.
Dutch Archaeological "living museum" Archeon now uses AI visuals.

In the Mesolithic we meet a bunch of corpulent half-naked Obelix-characters. White. No women.

We can debate Mesolithic people's skin colour (likely dark); they did not live life half-naked and there definitely were women.

Just had a pack of the most beautiful handmade rag paper delivered for my new project. Have literally spent 20 mins stroking it and cooing over it...

Picasso is probably still the most famous artist there has been. I've always been a big fan. I'm also a lover of printmaking, and have worked with etching and lino cutting for decades. How on earth is it then that I discovered LAST WEEK that ol' Pablo did a whole bunch of linocuts?

Picking things up again, now there's a place where stuff doesn't get stolen by ai and there are hopefully less wankers...
