More directly relevant might be Attentat 1942 by the Charles University games studio in Prague. I haven't played it but I think it's a visual novel that dramatizes survivors' testimonies.

For video games, you can't go wrong with Papers Please by Lucas Pope. It's lightweight enough to run on most any machine, and does a great job of showing how difficult it is to meaningfully resist autocratic regimes. There is a resistance movement which you may choose to engage with.

I'm speculating here: By German keyboard settings, do you mean a QWERTZ (rather than QWERTY) layout? Is it possible to install an English QWERTZ layout? I know both layouts exist for other languages. That might work around the automatic language detection.
