Stakes for communities facing the DeLa Express Pipeline have never been higher.

2 new FERC commissioners to fill the vacancies—poised to advance Project 2025’s energy agenda.

This agenda may push to fast-track fossil fuel infrastructure, like the DeLa Express Pipeline #NoDeLaEx

USA has so many decommissioned oil/gas pipelines that could be repurposed into transporting TX flood waters to drought areas, but we'd rather shame Mexico for stealing water during droughts. 91% of MXN export crops go to the US. After all, the US is a huge source of emissions and climate change.
Water wars: a historic agreement between Mexico and US is ramping up border tension
Reducing rainfall and droughts are causing problems between the US and Mexico because of a historic agreement to deliver water between them.

Incidents are averaging 1.45 incidents per day in 2024 (based on incomplete data) and around 1.7 per day since 2010.
In 2024, 37% of reported incidents occurred in Texas, exceeding the national average even when normalized for pipeline mileage.

Because it's performative greenwashing.
S&P Global is the host of the CERA Week conference currently happening in Houston. Even though the organizers claim the conference includes discussions and stakeholders from renewable energy spaces, the focus is overwhelmingly on the oil and gas industries.
This S&P Global report is something else

"Higher US LNG exports lead to lower overall global emissions by displacing the more GHG intensive fuels that would replace them."

It's buried in the report, but it looks like the alternative fuels is non-US coal.

Focus: China's U.S. ethane imports to surge in 2025 in drive to cut costs
Despite a growing trade war between Washington and Beijing, China's ethane imports from the U.S. are set to surge this year as big petrochemical producers battling shrinking profits switch to the cheaper feedstock flowing from the U.S. shale gas boom.

THIS IS WHY WE TOLD THE FEDERAL ENERGY REGULATORY COMMISSION (FERC) #NOSAGUARO #NOPIPELINES! "One of the state’s strongest earthquakes to date rattled West Texas late last Friday evening. 4 minutes later, dispatchers received a call about a pipeline explosion not far from the quake’s epicenter..."
West Texas earthquake, pipeline explosion under investigation. Are they linked?
The earthquake struck an area where the Texas Railroad Commission has worked to curb wastewater injection -- a practice it links to a rash of earthquakes there.
