“When you cut the very few pathways that exist, what it means is that the options available to desperate families become smaller and smaller.” Blocking legal pathways runs the risk of desperate people taking desperate measures, creating more chaos.

Can we please stop suggesting that Elon Musk is going to have any actual power to do anything? He's part of a non-governmental advisory committee. Congress created CFPB and only Congress can get rid of it. Framing like this gives them more power than they actually have.

I really don't understand how the NYT can write 13 paragraphs about Trump's claims about NATO nations owing money without mentioning that NATO nations did not, in fact, owe money, were not "in arrears", and $$$ did not come "flowing in" to NATO after Trump's threats.
