I don't know if it's supposed to be this easy but I've just played The Guardian's 'budget game' and I've managed to raise £45bn without increasing the basic rate of income tax or frightening the bond markets. Also I appear to be doing well in the polls.

For the first time in generations, public access has been restored to the area underneath Rendelsham Viaduct, known as "Fourteen Arches" to Enfield locals of a certain age.
This route is also now part of the London Loop, and improves access to the capital's largest tree-planting project!

I finished the Great North Run!
It was exhausting but exhilarating. I hit my target time and, more importantly, smashed my fundraising goal, raising £620 in total.

I'm still pinching myself that I get to commute to work along the gorgeous new cycle path beside the New River in Enfield – as well as using it for my ongoing Great North Run training twice a week. It's simply stunning!
