At what appeared to be an outdoor operating theatre, replete with bloody tables and gowned folks, turned out to be a communal kimchi making session!

Did you know there was a sandy beach on the Thames in the heart of London? I did not.

Snapped last week when we were in London.

We stumbled across a really quaint temple in Seoul today, and it was having it's annual chrysanthemum festival. Everything was adorned with pretty little flowers, even the Buddhas!

Ironic that the only major western economy with no public health care system is set to deny visas to people with pre-existing health issues.

So from what I can tell, if you're fat use, the elevator, if you're regular sized, use the stairs. 😯

Did you know polar bears have blue / black tongues!?

Know one really knows why. Polar bear cubs start off with pink tongues and within the first year they have turned black.

We saw this guy poking his tongue out just before he got chased away by conservation officers in Churchill 😂

Polar bears are pretty much just giant labradors. Cute, fluffy, always hungry 😄🐻‍❄

So Microsoft kills Skype in May this year removing my ability to make & receive phone calls, keeping my ~$100 in credit that was in the account, and now is sending me emails about reactivating my credit that I can't even use!

Clowns.

Back in London and just checked into our favourite Airbnb. Rachel (the host) has delivered again in providing food enough for an army!!

Cool set of sculptures just at the start of Stanley Park Vancouver.

Found a terrific real Japanese restaurant for our last meal in Canada.

This was the days bento box, complete with an amazing miso black cod (sablefish).

I say 'real' because of the few we have been to in Canada, about 50% of them were run by Chinese 😜

He then high tailed it out of there and sprinted across this field towards the river. The rangers were guiding him and it seems he went the right way. I hope he did, otherwise he'll end up in polar bear prison.

While we were watching the bear at the buildings the bear control officers turned up to scare it away. They had multiple vehicles and quad bikes to chase and steer him. They used shotguns with cartridges that shoot like fireworks to make a load noise, sparks of light and smoke.

This was the second bear we saw in Churchill. He was hanging out in front of some old buildings at the edge of town. Poor guy was really quite skinny, hoping that ice forms soon!

We had a full day excursion from our lodge down to the Seal River estuary. It was 2 hours each way on the ATVs across some beautiful remote areas looking for polar bears. We didn't find any, but it was a stunning day with striking landscapes.

Manitoba, Canada.

One of the beautiful polar bears we saw in Churchill. Just napping on a rock waiting for the ice to form.

Some information about the polar bear management program at Churchill if you are interested.

It's been very successful and this model has started to be adapted in other 🐻‍❄ towns.

In Churchill we went to visit the polar bear jail. Here, bears that don't skedaddle from town when chased by the rangers they get locked up. It can hold up to 23 bears at a time. They will be held there for 30 days with no food. The big tube at the end is a bear trap.

There was one prisoner 🐻‍❄
