They are for me. I started three and finished one and even though it’s my profile picture, I don’t feel as close an affinity with it as I did with the photograph before. That may say more about my basic skill than the painting. Lol

It is an interesting and fascinating subject to dive into. I also have been fascinated by identity. Since I’ve been painting during the last year and portraits over the last six months, this has opened up new facets. Especially as I attempted self portraits, I find them nearly impossible.

Oh, thanks. The clouds were fun. Could have spent even more time on the eyes, but I didn't want to mess up what I had captured early.
I tried raw umber in the skin palette this time, and it is an interesting choice that I think I like compared to my usual, which was used on the decolatage.
