A conman who bought tea from around the world and sold it on as Scottish has been found guilty of a fraud totalling more than £500,000. Thomas Robinson, 55, also known as Thomas O’Brien or Tam O’Braan, rented land on a former sheep farm near Loch Tay and began supplying Edinburgh’s prestigious Balmoral Hotel with what he described as authentically Scottish single-estate tea. He claimed he was told that tea he had supplied to London’s five-star Dorchester Hotel was “the Queen’s favourite”

A lot of my creative energy is quietly spent encouraging my wife to 'play' storytelling games with me.
She is incredibly creative, but has always had a block when it comes to telling stories.

So I wrote A Line at a Time, and we've started playing it as we walk.
One line at a time. A simple storytelling game for woodland walks and depressing drives. By John Hedge In this game, two or more players take it in turns to tell a story. One line at a time. On their turn, a player advances the plot, They say what happens next in the story. Or, if the prefer, a player shares a truth about the world, This truth is now a fact. These are the only two rules you need to play. When playing, you cannot change a truth about the world. If a player states that cats can’t talk, then little JiJi can’t start talking in the next scene. When playing, you don’t need to advance the plot regularly. You can spend time building out the world you are playing in. When playing, your turn can be long, you can narrate an entire ballroom scene, with delicate, intricate details, full to bursting with wonder and fantastical ideas,until you are needlessly lost in imagination. Or your turn can be short. This game is for couples walking hand in hand, imagining worlds together. This game is for parents struggling with bored children on a long drive. This game is for friends around a campfire, telling ghost stories. This game is for helping a shy friend crawl out of their shell. This game is for whomever wants to use it. This game is for you.

I pick Rivers of London. A new BRP game from Chaosium. The system itself will be familiar to anyone who has played Call of Cthulhu.

What's interesting about it is that the new approach to skills has really solved a lot of the historical issues with BRP. Breathing new life into an ageing system.

I love the story of the little people's village in Middlebery, Connecticut.
About 100 tiny houses, built by an entrepreneurial American as a visitors attraction. The site apparently feels incredibly eery and terrifying.
However, no-one can adequately explain the giant 'fairy throne' in the centre.
