Carl Bernstein told me personally, over 20 years ago, that WaPo could not be biased because equal numbers of Dems and Repubs complained about stories. The Washington press corps lost the plot a long time ago.
also, with love, I think people ascribe too much power to headlines. I see this discourse that seems to assume that, if the headline was different, it would somehow be a KO to make the subject of the story act different? but when subjects call to complain about a story, it's almost always a detail.

Pure nonesense, as anybody who has been on a. Oars of Directors or worked for a multinational company knows. The standard is avoiding the appearance of a conflict. For obvious reasons.

This standard is lower than that of the local PTA. This is not a serious take.
Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.

Apparently car drivers in Oakland keep hitting bus shelters. So The Oakland’s response was to remove the shelters.

Two more close calls at BAM drop off today, from other parents' reckless driving after dropping off. I've almost been hit three times this year, in crosswalks, with my kid. Today my wife and another parent were almost hit.
