Yeah, the cost of moving to another state, job disruption, healthcare disruption, and living in a crap hole red state will be worth it for a half a percent less inflation.

Your right to document is a crucial safeguard for your community, and no federal agency can take that away. Keep filming, keep documenting, and keep protecting one another. The Constitution is firmly on your side.

If ICE is uncomfortable with public oversight during large-scale sweeps, the issue is not the cameras, it’s the conduct they don’t want seen.

I'm also happy to pay taxes. I like having good roads and good services.

Besides that, it doesn't matter how low it is, if it's more than zero. Every measles death is preventable easily and cheaply.

Churches are dying everywhere. The one nearest me has been going since the 1840s. I don't expect it to last more than another year or two; they're running a significant deficit and they've burned all their savings they put aside for a new building for 50 years now. Very few young people going.

I don't disagree, but I only see that happening in ideal conditions at this point. I see no evidence that a vehicle with affordable sensor suites (LIDAR, RADAR, vision) will do better than humans in situations like heavy rain and snow, places where you can't see the road, etc.

I like Selectrics, but my first typewriter was a Burroughs manual. Absolutely gorgeous action/feel. I could definitely type faster on a Selectric, but the Burroughs was a tactile pleasure to use.

I don't buy from Amazon if possible. I'm buying from Kobo.

Preordered at Kobo anyway :)

I didn't think so but I figured I'd mention it. Publishers do what publishers do.

It's weird that the Tor page doesn't have a link to Kobo, even though it is for sale on their site.

You think mister "make fun of the disabled reporter" gives a damn about disabled people? He thinks they're gross and probably would rather they just die, or at least get locked up somewhere he doesn't have to look at them.
