It does work as such an explanation, because inflation peaked at ~9% during the Biden administration, and poor people understandably complain about inflation...

But if you're talking about the stupid "white ppl vote GOP b/c economic anxiety" stories, those are just cover for racism.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make, except for the political one that you support Biden.

In factual reality, instead of politics-land, poor people are still poor, and *income* from ownership isn't reflected in a *wage* graph

"Under a House rules change this year, Johnson was able to keep the chamber shuttered indefinitely on his own, without the usual required vote..

"Johnson’s refusal to swear-in Grijalva is a remarkable flex of the speaker’s power"

"The speaker has defended his decision to shutter the House during what’s now the longest government shutdown in U.S. history... he refused to enter talks with the other leaders on a compromise. Johnson also encouraged Trump to cancel an initial sit-down with the Democratic leaders"

"these past weeks, the chamber has sidestepped its basic responsibilities, from passing routine legislation to conducting oversight... unusual and surprising... the founders envisioned the branches would vigorously protect their institutional prerogatives."

The car one is particularly ridiculous to me. Honda Civics are great and last a long time.

SUVs and trucks are not cars, people. Stop buying them. They're enormously harmful to your communities.

You're also just generally right about many people having expectations that far exceed what the avg person of previous generations had. It's not bad to want a better life, but please be aware you expect better. Many social and "news" media complaints I've seen bring to mind one word: entitlement.

Also right about ppl not living together, and I would add not being willing to move.

But shelter costs in the average American city are up ~29% from five years ago (and most Americans live in urban or semi-urban areas). In many parts of America, if you make median income or lower, rents are *a lot*

You're right about the ridiculous nostalgia, and about politicians and their proxies lying about the economy, and about consumer goods.

But I'm sure you've heard of the K-shaped economy. If someone making 6 figures complains, they're being ridiculous. If a low wage worker complains: they're right.

Cryptocurrency should be banned to fight organized crime, terrorism, etc.—but until it’s banned it should be taxed into oblivion.
