Voting was done prior to the playoff run so it's sort of impossible to guess who would have done better in the playoffs - that being said - I agree that I think Schneider was more deserving - but it's not fair to suggest Vogt is not also deserving

I mean, Vogt did take a team with almost no stars to the playoffs - it was also a pretty notable year.

But also, sort of the exact opposite as Jose Reyes who is probably often overlooked because he was moved at the 2015 deadline and not remembered as fondly but had better stats as a Jay

I don't mean my comment to be a slander against Tulo - he was a critical part of the 2015 run and was solid in 2016 - but the memory of him is heavily influenced by those two playoff runs and his reputation - but he only ever played 235ish games - pretty remarkable he is as high up as 22nd overall

I feel like people sort of misremember Tulos career number with Toronto cause he was in the team during the 15/16 playoff run. His numbers while playing in Toronto weren't very good

Is Grichuk in there?
November 11, 2025 at 7:39 PM
Definitely; but I also find it quite common for people to justify their car use because they thinking biking is dangerous - but the more bikes and pedestrians on the road the (hopefully) more likely drivers drive less recklessly.

But I don't mean to dismiss anyone's own experiences / no one should ever feel unsafe walking or biking - we should all be working to make things safer and don't mean to be dismissive of one's own experiences.

And ideally cyclists and pedestrians have alternatives routes that don't interact with cars at all - but perception of danger isn't always the same as actual danger
November 11, 2025 at 6:06 PM
Are they more dangerous than traditional intersections? It would make sense that any place where cars are coming from multiple directions would be dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists -
Inherently they will be a high danger area but are roundabouts better or worse than alternatives? 🤷‍♂️

Sort of like Google searches, it seems like the quality and reliability of searches is worse than it used to be - but it's almost impossible to prove this. Maybe life is just worse all around 🤷‍♂️

You'll be missed; I loved hearing you pop up from time to time!

As a Canadian, I should inform a fellow Canadian - there is a long long history of Canada doing bad things too.

To be fair, the first paragraph of the article acknowledges all the bad things the U.S. does...

I'd say the first goals was more skill than full clowning - and imagine the first goal helped set up the second
- goalie was probably cheating a little bit knowing how Caufield can go short side up - and boom - Caufield just finesses it in down low

Without reading anything into it - I wonder if that is the kind of quote that is said intended to be a joke?
