NEW: Dems easily flipped the sheriff's office in Pennsylvania's Bucks County, a big swing county in the Philly suburbs.

So? The incumbent GOP sheriff had contracted with ICE. His Dem challenger promised to end the contract.

Now he wants other swing-state Dems to look at his victory as a lesson:
Voters Ousted This Pennsylvania Sheriff After He Signed Up to Collaborate With ICE - Bolts
A populous, swing county replaced its GOP sheriff on Tuesday after months of controversy over his joining ICE’s 287(g) program. The Democratic winner promises he’ll end the contract.

The idea of not having access to a private toilet when you have your period is a literal, actual nightmare.
"There was no access to a toilet, so guards told the women – whose accounts in some cases occurred on different days or different buses – to urinate or defecate on the floor... "

Immigrant women describe 'hell on earth' in ICE detention
No shower for days, cameras trained on the toilet, women crammed into cells 'like sardines,' among the allegations.

Meanwhile, Tesla’s direct competitor, Rivian, is facing uncertainty over its long-planned $6.6 billion federal loan—an issue directly influenced by Elon Musk. However, the world is making it clear that demand for Musk’s cars is waning, with even celebrities ditching their Teslas in protest.

Day one of Obama's term, the GOP was facing the same odds and declared unanimously and unambiguously that they would not help him a lick and anyone who didn't like it could eat shit. It largely worked, and they left the literal playbook for the Dems - who have instantly surrendered.
"What leverage do we have?" says Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. "They control the House, the Senate and the presidency; it's their government."

Does “Golden Age” refer to a time when planes keep crashing, eggs cost $10–15 a dozen, the U.S. is being booed and protested by all our allies, workers are losing their jobs, and Americans’ personal data is being rummaged through by unelected oligarchs and their strange crew of 20-something incels?

The part of George Orwell’s 1984 that everyone forgets is how the music and publishing industries have been replaced by a machine that spits out songs and bad novels “without any human intervention.” The goal is to keep you from ever having to think.

At some point, and hopefully soon, the national guard will need to be called in to arrest the capitol security police who are enforcing illegal EOs.

They have a duty to refuse illegal orders and uphold the constitution

When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. Take inspiration from it.

Good source of what happening protest-wise.
1/ For the people who are asking: “Where are the protests?!” There have been many! Much of them organized by immigrants rights groups and leftists. Here’s a thread of some I have found, or know people who have attended. Feel free to add your own.

If you think wild fires are caused by a Jewish Space Laser, natural disasters are caused by wokeness, and Haitian immigrants are eating people’s pets, DEI causes plane crashes sounds like a logical conclusion.

We need to shift our messaging from "Democrats SHOULD talk about..." to just SAYING IT ourselves (I'm guilty too). Don't lament the asymmetry in the media; we already know the media would destroy Biden if he blamed a plane crash on some amorphous framework like DEI. Instead, start making the case:

It is 100 percent their fault. They intentionally shut out AOC in favor of an old white guy with cancer. They turned Harris's "fuck those people are so weird" campaign vibe into standard James Carville pablum. It is their fault. And we are all paying the price.
Something that I think we can all agree on is that the current generation of Democratic leadership is simply not optimized for the Attention Age. Not really their fault! And honestly, they may be better people for it, but it's a pretty pressing political problem.
