If you're confident in your centrism, let it be radical.

Also, please know, if I get irritated and give short sharp replies, I annoy myself as much as I annoy you. I hate it when I do that and am trying to do it less.
It's the extremes, left and right. But the left are doing so self-defeatingly. The right are using it to their advantage.

Thank you, much appreciated and I agree with you that these things can easily stick in the collective psyche.

But to leave you with one positive thing here, I'll leave you with a thread that chap should read:

Let’s explore a crucial but overlooked factor in Europe’s migration crises: Russia’s deliberate strategy of weaponizing migration to destabilize the West. Why isn’t the media spotlighting this?

This thread I wrote is pertinent to the situation.

This correspondent was sooo much better and clearly further away from the Russian payroll and 'sphere of influence' than Professor Minimiser. I haven't seen anyone as good as him since Chemical Ali.

This guy was really soft, does he research Russia or is he funded by them?

Maybe ask them if they're ready to play to win:

To Defend Democracy, We Must Play to Win

The West has fundamentally miscalculated in its hesitant support for Ukraine, driven by a misguided pragmatism—a belief that power can somehow be 'balanced' in a conflict where balance is an illusion. Power, especially in the hands of

It begs the question, what was the point of Biden and his whole administration? Rejected by America for their domestic policy and their international policy has been both immoral and inept. It's time the west play to win:

“Our ‘escalation management’ has essentially provoked the very aggression we sought to avoid. Still, we stubbornly refuse to learn this lesson: Russia, history tells us, is deterred by strength and emboldened by weakness.”

You accused me of 'feigning' and now follow up by accusing me of arrogance. I see you're good at assuming stuff.

Alright, all the best.

So this is how you go about criticising what you see as intolerance, even when it isn't, which means... 🙄
December 9, 2024 at 6:35 PM
And this confirms you don't.
December 9, 2024 at 6:17 PM
It doesn't sound like you do from this.
December 9, 2024 at 6:17 PM
I genuinely can see both sides. I'm sorry if you can't.
December 9, 2024 at 6:07 PM
However, I can understand how you-or anyone else-looking at this topic in a polarised way could lead to strong emotions and varying degrees of intolerance, which seems to work both ways.
December 9, 2024 at 6:02 PM
I feel you're offering a black and white perspective on that. There are few things in life that are that simple, and I strongly doubt this is any exception. There's a whole lot of nuance wrapped up in the implications and beliefs associated with this topic.

divided on the matter, with some supporting a more fluid understanding of gender, while others emphasize the biological basis of sex. Ultimately, this is an ongoing discussion, and appears to remain a nuanced and often contentious issue.
December 9, 2024 at 5:54 PM
I appreciate this is a complex and volatile topic. From what I understand, it’s based on the idea of fluid gender identity, which suggests that gender is not fixed but a social construct that varies across cultures and individuals. Society is currently
December 9, 2024 at 5:54 PM
I do not care to offer any personal views on that, but it seems to me the definition within society is by no means conclusive and since gender is a social construct, I guess it means the jury is still out?
December 9, 2024 at 5:50 PM
Presumably you don't mean in a sinister existential way? I presume you're talking about how a woman is defined?
December 9, 2024 at 5:48 PM
Your final point I'm probably more in agreement with you than disagreement.
December 9, 2024 at 5:31 PM
carefully, as there is a distinction between recognizing individuals' autonomy and defending society’s diverse views. Christianity, like any belief system, doesn't inherently conflict with trans issues, but neither should society be pressured to adopt one specific view on identity.
