Bonus cats: Toast and the late Goober, my friends' cats who I would cat-sit from time to time and who I liked as much as if they were my own cats.

I understand that English is a difficult language with a lot of confusing rules, but why wouldn't you double check the correct spelling of "regenerative braking" in this context before creating a sign, especially when the correct word is used right below it?

Years ago, I heard a repeated thumping sound and came out of my bedroom to find my cat jumping up to the peephole in the front door. He was probably the reason why the downstairs neighbors would thump on the ceiling.

Looks like a French store has opened up near me.

A friend said that Trader Joe's was selling frozen okonomiyaki, but they were out of it when I went there. So I went to 99 Ranch, and they were on sale, so I bought three.

Gotcha. This was my Jasper girl, who was listed as male at the shelter and I named her Jasper but once the vet told me she was a girl, they said I could keep calling her Jasper because it's a gemstone. Loudest purr of any cat I've known.

Cooking experiment: I had some spaghetti squash that I had to use up, so I tried making pseudo tteokbokki sauce (dashi, gochujang, sugar, flour to thicken) to go with it. Verdict: Not an explosion of taste that will change the world, but pretty good.
