People are asking me “Colin do you have any new comics for sale at Thought Bubble this year?” and I do! I wrote one page in SINK VOL 3: CITY OF KILLERS, which @johnlees.bsky.social is kindly selling on my behalf (with the other 200+ pages) at his table

I’ve said it before, but finishing a comic is a series of goodbyes. I had my first when I finished scripting. Seeing the great Sally Cantirino wrap her part of the journey is another. It won’t be truly done until the complete graphic novel is released, but it’ll be sad to say farewell.
Inked, scanned, and uploaded the last pages of Orla! today. It's very bittersweet. Working on Orla! was a bright spot, and getting up everyday and drawing her was an absolute joy. I am gonna miss her immensely.

Mercury retrograde is kinda awesome, because it gives you something to blame for why everyone is ignoring your emails besides the crippling self-doubts that have haunted you for your entire career.

“Every single person in the Epstein emails should be removed and excluded from positions of any power forever” would be a good op-ed, but probably won’t appear in the NYT. Even more importantly, it would be a good political party platform, but that probably won’t happen either

straight up, if you like the work people do, supporting creator-owned is the only way for them to keep doing it. aside from the ~10 people who are always at the top, it's a constant clawing for readers for everybody else
It's a high time for the direct market, but non-licensed comics — i.e. creator-owned + other original comics — are going through a "wildly unpredictable" period.

In this week's feature, I talked to creators about navigating this uncertain time, what's fueling it, and how it's affecting their plans.
“It's Wildly Unpredictable”: Creators on Navigating an Uncertain Time for Non-Licensed Comics - SKTCHD
It’s a great time for the direct market. 1 Comic shops are thriving, new readers are getting onboard, and veteran fans are excited as well. More than that, the comics themselves are good, which genera...
