given what the last page of the chapter shows. I think this chapter does a phenomenal job of showing that Yoshida genuinely cares about Denji and despite the last role he was made to play, his best and favored role was being by Denji’s side and simply being normal. /end #csm

Honestly, Seiko is more terrifying than so many other supernatural entities or villains; she’s an icon. One of the few series I’ve ever had to pause in the middle of reading a chapter to calm down.

I lump these all together as terrifying, wholly realistic gut punches exploring the human condition

CSM, Beautiful Self, Hikaru, and Aono-kun all have their unique and beautiful takes on horror and the human experience; they’re really shaping what I’m discovering to be a favorite genre of mine. I would include Blood on the Tracks, but it lacks that supernatural element.
