People hoping Democrats will fix things are operating in a way that does not reflect reality. The most you can hope for from them is managed decline. Don't take this as doomerism. Better things are possible, so don't buy anything less from people who led us into this.

The Democrats had almost a year to devise a strategy to counter Proj. 2025 should it be enacted and they completely neglected to do so. That they're now on the back foot against it is a problem of their own making, and it isn't being a bad solider to tell them we expect better from them.

The answer to whether Biden's presidency will be considered a failure or if history will pass a kinder judgment is that it absolutely does not matter and you need to get out of the loser mindset of things like being vindicated by "history." Politics is about power and outcomes. It's not a TV show.

I've been seeing the "we should lie more" or "we need a dem Rogan" from Libs. It does miss the point, but more it acknowledges that incrementalism is fundamentally incapable of defeating fascism and corporate control. The folks at Blair mt understood this. We are the ones we were waiting for.
