If Kamala made universal healthcare her main promise, she'd be in the White House today with control of both houses.

They looked good on paper. Bridges was a massive overpay, but he's a good fit. KAT seems out of place, though.

I was surprised that the Knicks didn't fare better this season, honestly.

I'm not seeing too many current Nets worth keeping. It's looking a lot like the spare parts Atkinson(?) had before signing Kyrie and Durant.

Rebuilds are long. My Cavs rebuilt twice after LeBron left, with zero assets both times. We got lucky when you gave us Jarrett Allen - saved a year.

Building is not the Net's nature.
Collecting ill-fitting superstars is their nature.

I'm hoping for a rematch between your Warriors and my Cavs.

It would help us to finally get past LeBron.

It's not about the cars.

The Fed remits excess profits to the U.S. Treasury, which is hardly something a "private bank" would do. Nor was the 2008 bailout something a normal bank was capable of.

Our govt. is self-funding. Treasury issues bonds to pay for federal deficit spending, and the private sector is richer for it

95% of these MFers in the room are going to vote for that guy again next time around. Because, "Dems bad."

But you can't just look out the window and see what is happening in Washington, or in the Ukraine. We have once-legit news networks presenting, at best, a heavily slanted version of reality. FOX viewers think FOX is telling the truth.

People need some help.

Medicare is a fine starting point. It's already better insurance than any private insurance plan out there.

The ONLY issue is getting politicians to give up that insurance lobby money.

I hate everybody on this list except Larry Bird, and I used to hate Larry, too.

What makes an "excellent" Dem president, though?

Would we have gotten Universal Healthcare? Because that seems to be a pretty hot topic right now (thanks, Luigi!). Would Harris have even dared to say the words out loud?

I saw no evidence of progressivism in the Dem party.

(I'm a Dem, btw.)

The Guards clearing out 1B I can kind of understand, even though we didn't get much for a good player.

Filling that 1B slot with Santana makes zero sense.

Paying him $12M for what may be his farewell tour is just crazy.

Kenny did a good job with what he had to work with. He built a respectable team with a bunch of spare parts, before the (disastrous) Irving/Durant/Harden rebuild.

Healthcare is the unifying gripe that Kamala and the Dems completely whiffed on. A genuine push for universal healthcare would have won the election, easily.

Problem is, Big Healthcare owns the Dems, too.

There goes the surprise.

Jeez, why didn't anybody get the magic of tariffs before now?

I'm also in a (different) niche, and it seems like there isn't anything here steering that stuff to my feed, or steering people of similar interests together.

Waiting to see how this all shakes out.

"Coming of Age." Takes place in a retirement village. Classic episode features Bob and Ray, where Ray Goulding is running for reelection to the village council, and plays dirty.
