More tests blending painted environments with physical lighting:

I've been playing using realtime bounced lighting combined with the painted photoshop decals. This way dynamic objects can pick up some of the lighting that Anita paints in photoshop.

Curious what people think. It's cool, but not yet sure if it's the right effect. 🤔

Back to working on wheat physics! This actually uses Unity's hair package 😅 So we're covering the game essentially in a giant head of hair. Very normal.

Starting to get some paint layers into the game! This uses some custom tech I've been working on to let artists paint directly on the scene.

Some experiments for our recipe codex for The Infernal Parade. 👀

I mean, I knew Rust was fast, but wow does it eat server workloads for breakfast. And only using .01Gb of RAM! What in the world.

Lattice now has the ability to collapse simple nodes into a minimized form that snaps onto the parent node. This is shockingly nice! It makes working with complex scripts much more pleasant, because long chains of casts can be hidden out of the way!

Some news! We've recently been working on a new project called The Infernal Parade. It's a bit of a spiritual successor to Clockwinder, but for consoles/pc! Build factories out of your own clones to cook food for an endless parade of horrors.

An initial start on automatic parallelization for Lattice! The color here shows the work unit each node has been assigned to. These will all get split across cores.

I dueted with a man who claims to be 75 but doesn't look a day above 50. He sounded like a Japanese Frank Sinatra!

Ended the night singing jazz in a little bar in Shibuya? Japan continues to deliver.

Since the last one went over so well, here's another concept that just came in for the new game project! Spooky warmth.

I'll be posting more about this project than some of previous in development stuff! Credit: Glenn Hernandez

The most damning chart of today is the fact that The Bronx, one of the most liberal boroughs in NYC, voted +12 points Republican compared to the last election. (28% in 2024 vs 15% in 2020).

This was not just a turnout problem in the swing states. The democrats are losing real working class votes. 😕

My girlfriend wrote a Google Research blog post! She's developed an ML model that understands medical CT scans!

And it's built for the public! Anyone can now train a local model on their own PC that can understand chest CT scans! Wild!!

Can't show screenshots of the project I'm working on, but probably fine to just show the depth map right?
