A dangerous provision is being considered by the Senate that would prevent states from regulating AI for ten years with no federal alternative.

We must tell Congress to oppose this ten year ban on AI regulation immediately.

This gives Big Tech a blank check to deploy these technologies without oversight or consequences. Tell Congress: Oppose the ten-year ban on AI regulation.

The Trump administration is working with private companies like Palantir to create detailed reports on every American, which could help them weaponize our personal information in their quest to deport immigrants and punish critics.

This is a huge threat to our constitutional rights.

“…Spotify is already structuring the musical world through the musicians it now governs, musicians who alter their creative process to align with its machinic logics. Human expression bends toward the platform’s embedded telos: keeping listeners locked in a passive, lean-back consumptive state.”
A gun structures what is possible the moment it appears.

So does Spotify.

An autism "registry" culled from private medical records could potentially violate federal privacy laws and runs the risk of abuse.

It also harkens back to a time when disabled people were labeled, segregated, and excluded. We won't go back.

Tomorrow, a certain online mega-retailer launches a book sale, just days before Indie Bookstore Day on 4/26. This is no coincidence; Bookstore Day is one of the largest revenue drivers for indies.

Indies need our support to thrive & build community spaces for all...mega-retailers do not.
