And I don't want Israel in either nut all artists and songwriters that apply with a song must know and accept this. And all broadcasters need a binding contract. I mean Norway will not suffer on artists that would go anyway

If this is true, why are they sending in stuff to participate in the first place? Everyone has known there might be a chance that Israel participates. If you don't accept that sadly you should not ebter the Nf's.

For me I will definitely watch it. If this is the last year I intend to enjoy it too. I will support the other artists, they've been working hard for this!

Yeah as I said, a rumor. Though Germany and possibly Ukraine might've left....nah I mean this is a shitshow but still I will watch it fall rather then boycott it

There are rumors going around that ORF would refuse to host if Israel wasn't allowed in.....so I think money is not the biggest point here even though he says so. 35-36 countries is still good considering....

Lätt fixat genom att alla länder har ett bindande kontrakt i sina nationella finaler, som jag vet att Melfest har att om man vinner ska man åka till ESC. Om alla inför det slipper de överraskningar

Yeah but I think they expect atleast 35 countries and if I counted correctly that's we're we'll land if Iceland is out too. Next year however, is another story.....depending on who'll win there might be other terms then.

Yes.That's what I wrote:-)EBU will already start to reconsider but they've done their choice for this edition.Hard to go back now if they do not cancel the contest or Israel do a tule breach and get dq:d(obviosly a rule break with the song and promotion because we know they broke the rules already

I agree. Though I would watch it even if we weren't in it. I would not watch Melfest if Sweden wasn't kn ESC but I would watch ESC ecen if Sweden wasn't in it tbh...

Yeah. EBU will have to evaluate that too after 2026 and also if Israel wins it is the end-but until then I intend to enjoy the season, including the 3 live-shows!

If they do, there will for sure be no contest in 2027. Atleast not in Israel because countries will leave the contest and they will not enter Israeli land. But if the measures taken work, countries will come back and there will be business as usual.

Life support is saved for the moment. But I get your reasoning. I also intend to fully support the other countries because if this is the last ESC I intend to enjoy it.

It shouldn-t but it would be a very clear and reasonable rule (as much as I love Ukraine in the contest) that can't be broken.

It's saved for now but if Israel does too goid this is the end(for Israel or the contest, which one is up to EBU)

Oh Sweden would let them be in for sure. The new rule should have been "countries in war can't participate" but then they'd loose Ukraine too....

But also let's remember Austria literally saved ESC by winning this year so.....I mean the contest would have already died otherwise

Despite the situation I hope they stay. To see how this year pans out, because if Israel does good again there will be more boycotts and then they really need to do something. But if the ne rules work the boycotters might come back again

Absolutely not. I will not boycott anything except Israels entry. I will support the little that's left of ESC. I will stream the songs, watch the Nf's and shows, probably vote too. But the say ESC kills itself Melfest is dead to me since I only follow it because winner goes to ESC
