Exactly. So many of them claiming this. The views of Labour's leading politicians were very clear, and many of us were telling them all for months/years prior to the election what was going to happen. Ignorance for most isn't an excuse and also not really believable.

And I'm pretty sure it's a standard term of endearment for close family friends even for white westerners. I've been called it, I know of countless others too of various ethnicities. The racist New York Post just gets more absurd by the day.

No different to the Oscars. A good marketing tool for winners, but that's all it is. With all these awards, if the winner is the most deserving is usually by coincidence.
