personally I suspect the success of many people who have branded themselves in this way has less to do with the problem sets they did years ago and more to do with the contemporary intellectual labor of the people who they force to work life consuming hours for minimal recognition

for all the talk of the social importance of math it's uncanny how this aspect of the sociology around it is more or less identical to how things work on the humanities side of things. but that's none of my business I guess
