Maybe it just means that the other tax raises that she will make will help, and she doesn’t have to break the manifesto, which is a bad look. Frankly I think they’ve painted themselves into a corner with the promises. I also think whoever is steering the agenda needs to go.

A speculated increase of tax, that wasn’t announced, may now not be implemented. Sometimes things are floated to see how they land with the electorate. I don’t think this is chaos, and with a media more balanced, maybe this wouldn’t be reported this way. However, their comms are awful.

I wonder if Trump has been really spooked by the British establishments take down of Andrew Windsor. It seems a coincidence that a pro-Trump lobbyist leaks the info to the telegraph, that could give Trump the opportunity to boot out the BBC from White House briefings.
