A bellated halloween post!

This is a piece I made earlier this year, inspired by my appreciation for horror movies. As this genre is heavily outside my comfortzone it took some time to study the subject matter, but I am happy how this relatively small illustration turned out!

Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein is by far the best film I’ve seen all year.
This masterful retelling of the classic story feels both timeless and ahead of its time, perfectly balancing innovation with a rich, old-world atmosphere. 1/2

Akhenaten, the Heretic Pharaoh

I painted this illustration for Monolith Board Games in 2023. It was part of a larger series of historical and mythological portraits I had the chance to create, a significant learning experience I am very grateful for.

New Painting!

I found some time to work on this piece a while back while waiting for feedback and new assignments. As an exercise, I wanted to push my creative boundaries, letting myself play with shapes and spontaneity rather than relying too much on a plan.

Saxon warrior, painting from 2020 or so. History is always a topic that has fascinated me and that inspires me greatly in my personal work. I like to keep it grounded while adding my own designs / interpretations when I can. Always fun to push these creative boundaries!

Just finished Expedition 33 a little while ago, and wow, it didn’t take long for me to realise it’s become my favourite game in terms of story, concept, and worldbuilding. The music is the perfect cherry on top-

Happy to share the new wraparound bottle design for Glen Scotia Whisky’s third edition of Icons of Campbeltown: The Legend of the Scottish Wulver!
It’s been a real pleasure collaborating with the Loch Lomond Group on these releases, and I can’t wait to try this latest edition!

Character portrait from some years ago, a design for my Bronze Age series I worked on at the time!

The Metabaron!
A fanart piece I painted some time ago, inspired by the comic by Moebius and Jodorowsky. Reading The Incal about 10 years ago was what truly sparked my love for sci-fi, and soon after, I dove into Dune, which originally inspired The Incal. Both are incredible works!

oday, we celebrate our son Ilan’s first birthday!
Exactly one year ago, we welcomed Ilan into the world. His first year has been a difficult journey: He was born with complications that required an 8-month stay in the hospital. In March, he was able to come home for the first -

“The Judge”; A personal painting from 2022, inspired by the various Bronze Age cultures, a period of history I once explored in depth.
The piece evolved through several iterations after experimenting with new techniques in color and atmospheric perspective.

Daemon Targaryen a painting I created when House of the Dragon Season 2 was released. I’ve always been a huge fan of Westeros and the many stories woven throughout this world, and I’m beyond excited for all the upcoming productions that will continue to bring it to life.

Painting from almost 3 years ago I did to practice dynamic scenes with multiple characters. Still a subject I would like to experiment more with, but was a great learning experience nonetheless!

This is a painting I created about five years ago for Fireforge Games. The cover art for their Western European Knights miniature box set.
At the time, dynamic action scenes weren’t my strongest skill, but I’m still quite happy with how this piece turned out. 1/2

Here's another painting I completed in 2024 for Champions of Rokugan, the Legend of the Five Rings miniature board game: the spectral Yori of the Crab Clan. Used this piece as an opportunity to explore horror themes in my artwork; an approach that later influenced my studies

Piece I painted in 2024 for Champions of Rokugan, The Legend of the Five Rings Boardgame! Moto Chagatai, a champion for the Unicorn Clan.
Was one of the pieces I enjoyed painting the most. Color scheme was a nice challenge, as well as trying to balance the details and design.

New Painting! The Necromancer, done for Legend of the Five Rings: Champions of Rokugan boardgame in 2023.

I had a lot of fun experimenting with perspective and bold color choices, and pushing myself to go beyond a single character and simple background. At the time, I was 1/2

Painting from around 6 years ago, when I made my first serious attempt to create a piece for my portfolio trying to work for Magic the Gathering.
The painting went through multiple iterations and I spent a lot of time on it overall, learning a lot in the proces.
