I find it hard to believe there’s a mass audience of American viewers who would stop watching both the NBA and NHL playoffs to watch the MLS playoffs instead. I also find it hard to believe that those viewers who would do so aren’t already following EPL, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A, etc & prefer that

I really wanted to go to a match next year, and have basically no interest now, after seeing what a huge scam this is

UPDATE — With Rep. Pramila Jayapal (Chair Emerita of the Congressional Progressive Caucus), there are now at least 12 congressional Democrats, 15 Democratic-aligned organizations, and 8 Democratic candidates calling for Chuck Schumer to resign as leader:

i’ve said this before and i remain convinced it’s true, the 2028 platform that would deliver obama 08 results is “i am gonna
bring the hammer down on the corrupt self-dealing politicians and their rich friends and there are no sacred cows id give a pass”

This seems backwards to me. The fact that so many different QBs are on the field for him seems related to how often they get injured, something that hardly seems coincidental to him being the playcaller.

Also likely better than the quarterback’s understanding too
Every AJ Brown interview confirms he has a better understanding of why his non-usage is problematic than the head coach does.

I think this helpfully confirms the notion that the end of the filibuster was a big motivator for the eight Dems.
Heaven forbid the Republicans get rid of the filibuster…

The best time to go to an MLS match is during the summer which is exactly when this proposal would get rid of matches
MLS owners are *expected* to vote on flipping to fall-spring calendar at Thursday's BOG meeting. Changes to competition format also expected.

Let's see if it actually comes to a vote, but implications are enormous.

One subtle thing I picked up on is how the pass rush is now doing such a good job dictating where the QB can go. They’ve been excellent at not breaking contain each of the last two games.

“What if instead of just copying the cool idea the NHL had, we created a dumber version of what they did?”
Looks like NBA just revealed the All-Star Game format this season. Two teams of American players and one World team. Same selection process for the All-Stars but they will not be picked based on position. So positionless All-Stars selections.

I don’t think it’s crazy to keep trying Jihaad Campbell at EDGE, but it is weird that they’re doing it exclusively in run-heavy situations

Honestly if you’re the owner who let him make the Luka trade I don’t think you should be allowed to fire Nico this fast. You stink too, you should have to stew in it for a while.

There’s no way a Howie Roseman front office as analytics-fixated as it is has a model that says to go for it there, or gives Nick the blessing to kick a field goal to go up 6 (as he said he wanted to, with slightly different field position). Nick is freelancing.

Always liked Ojomo, but he’s ascended to “one of my favorite Eagles” status this year
The whole Eagles Defense was yelling “Inside Zone this way!” before the snap

“I would’ve liked to be in a little closer to kick a field goal” 🚩🚩🚩
Nick Sirianni explains his decision to go for it on 4th & 6 from the Green Bay 35-yard line with 33 seconds left and the Eagles leading 10-7.

100% sure the league met with the refs after this year’s Owners Meeting and told them to intentionally not call false starts on Tush Push plays, in order to give it pretext to kill it the following year
November 11, 2025 at 12:52 PM
The thing about Nick Sirianni’s record is it’s 100% because of his players and Howie Roseman, and has nothing to do with him

Very glad the Packers did not attempt the exceptionally dangerous QB sneak there. A slow-developing run to the outside was the right call.
