Left wing. Closer to communist than capitalist. I just want nice things for people and a thriving, abundant planet.
Reform is odds on to get a majority whether Labour ends up on 20% or 12%. Reform is around 30-32%, which could change.

We don't know how high the Greens can reach in terms of %. But the direction of travel is Labour losing members and declining in the polls and Greens going the other way.

I presented you with logic and sound reasoning, and that's your comeback?

If the largest number of people favour the Greens more than any other party, which polling suggests is the case, and its no longer seen as a wasted vote. Then you don't need to be a mathematician to work out the sequence of events.

The biggest hurdle the Greens have had isn't anything to do with popularity or favourability because they've been leading there for a while. It's been the notion of a waste vote. Well, if Greens consistently poll in 2nd place and the gap to Labour increases, that notion dissappears.

My plan is the same as it has been for many years. Get a Green government.

Labour is in a catch-22 situation. They're bringing in votes at 16 before the next election, and most of the 2.4m extra eligible voters are likely to vote Green as Greens are 40% with 18-24s. If they u-turn on it, they'll lose even more support from young people, and they will go Green.
November 2, 2025 at 5:13 PM
It's likely to happen. The next election will be between Reform and Green. Lib Dems will hold their seats and gain a few more. But Labour will lose most of their seats to Reform and Green.

Continue to watch Labour tank to below 12% in the polls as Greens rise into the 20's and beyond.

At that stage, it becomes an effective abolition of the Labour party. Voters will no longer see them as a tactical way to stop the right.

From 43% down to 12%, that would be another nail in the coffin.

At this point, Labour should just cease to exist. Their incompetence and disregard for voters is enabling the rise of said proto fascists.

We're over 3 years away. Labour is down to 16% in the polls. That puts them on less than 100 seats in 2029.

You must be mad if you think Labour can come back from this.

The better move would be to discount them entirely and have their vote share split between Greens and Lib Dem.

We shouldn't count Labour in any kind of serious fight against Reform/Tories. They are enabling the rise of Reform, and they're keeping FPTP.

For me, it's a fight against Labour/Tories/Reform.

Who might replace Starmer?

The Green Party.
November 2, 2025 at 12:44 PM
We're already polling 16-17%, inline and above Labour and Tories. We've only just begun our surge. It'll go much higher before 2029.
November 2, 2025 at 12:43 PM
Better placed party, Labour? Labour is in power with a huge majority to make some big improvements, and it ain't happening.

Greens came 2nd in 39 seats and third in over 100. We'll be aiming to win all of those seats and more next time.
November 2, 2025 at 12:41 PM
2 out of the 4 seats we hold in Westminster. Yes. Under FPTP this is talked down as unachievable. But candidates can and do win from positions other than 2nd place.
November 2, 2025 at 10:32 AM
3rd or 4th placed candidates can and do win. It's even likelier to happen that the polling has squeezed for all parties. Greens have won 2 seats from 4th and 3rd place before now. It will happen again. It's time for Green supporters to vote like Reform supporters have been. Want it? Vote for it.
